Happy Father's Day, Charlie!
I love you more than you can know (and more than I let on, sometimes...). You are the best father I've ever seen. Tori and I worked hard on this; we hope you like it. :)

Wow Cecily, that was beautiful.
I know how I feel about wanting my DH to be a father, so I'm sure this is a special time for you as well. So, Happy Father's Day to you too. ;)
I've been reading your blog for so long now and though you no longer focus on IF, I still read because you give me hope for a happy ending to my own journey.
You're awesome, you have a beautiful family. Just wanted to say thanks for sharing.

That brought on the tears Cec, after all you guys have been through, it's fantastic to be celebrating isn't it? Piper enjoyed it too.

This is a beautiful tribute to Charlie. Thank you so much for sharing it and enjoy celebrating today.
On a totally unrelated note, I think we have the same Bentwood rocking chair.

Charlie is really good looking. And so are you Cecily; I didn't realize how pretty you are until I saw the "School's Out" video clip.
But I didn't stop by to say that. Rather, I wanted to say, don't be too hard on yourself for nearly losing it when you're sleep deprived. Sleep derivation + sounds of crying infants (or cats' yowling) = a type of psychological torture that has been studied by the U.S. military. It's used to cause the disintegration of the personality. The New Yorker ran a story about it last year.
So, you know, threatening to leave the family isn't so bad for someone who's being tortured.

Is it totally inappropriate for me to say your husband is hot? 'Cause he is hot. You're a beautiful family.
Hey, I was thinking I need to share with you my sleep tricks. Here's the first: I try to name all 50 states. Sounds lame, but it's just absorbing enough that my mind doesn't wander and just boring eough that it lulls me.
Here's the second, taught to me by a psychologist friend who leanred it from her therapist:
Get quiet and tune in to five things you see, five things you feel (tactiley, not emotionally) and five things you hear. Then do four each, then three, then two, then one. It works because it brings you into the moment and keeps you from ruminating. I've never gotten past four.

Nicely done, Cecily.

That is really great. Not only does it show what a dedicated dad Charlie is but also how much you love the guy - and of course how much love you both have for that little girl.

I will say it's slightly creepy how MUCH Charlie looks like a slightly older version of my hubby.....like looking at the future almost! And yes, the eyes are gorgeous......that's what did me in with mine ;)
