She Walks
She cried with each step. Poor thing.
She thinks about trying again...
She seems pretty pleased with herself, all in all.
All photos taken at this amazing spot. Will be going there often. More photos here. And when did her hair get so darned light? Not long after this shot I actually died my hair darker so that mine wouldn't be so much lighter than hers. Perhaps going blond is in my future. NOT. Oh, and that blue thing Tori's on? It's a see-saw. So cool.

Excellent! Would this be the wrong time to remind of the post you made about worrying about milestones? I think you were worried about her not rolling over and here she is taking her first step!
Life is about to get even more interesting in your world!

Could this be the reason for the restless nights? Wishing you all active days and slumber-filled nights.

Wow- big milestone! There's nothing so darling as my youngest nephew (18 months) running around. They get fast so quickly!

Wow! Congratulations Tori!

Strange but true fact, when kids are learning new skills (walking, talking, etc.) it tends to mess up their sleep patterns. I'm sure there is some scientific reason behind it that I'm not aware of!

omg who told her she was allowed to grow up? I thought I had put in an order that she stay a baby forever?

Oh! What an achievement! I am sure she will like it more as she figures out just how nifty it is.
Way to go, Tori!

Wow Tori!
I may have to go to Philly just to go to that park. I was about to ask, where's that park? when I got to the bottom of your post.

I remember the first time my nephew walked, it is amazing to see how proud they are of themselves!
Congrats Tori! (and to the proud parents too!!)

Aha! Perhaps we also have an explanation for the recent sleep issues!
Beautiful to have it captured on film. And you look radiant!

Oh fun! Walking! Go Tori!

Wow, you've got a real little girl there, less baby, more toddler! How thrilling. It's been so wonderful to watch her grow up.

Times seems to be flying by. She's way past baby, she's a little girl. Congrats on the big steps!

Did you really capture her first steps on film?! Way to go Tori! Watch out Mom and Dad! ;)

You got it on film?? How lucky is that?! Gosh she is just SO gorgeous. She looks exactly like both of you, if that makes an ounce of sense.
Boy is the fun about to begin! My DD took her first steps a year ago this Wednesday and she started running almost immediately. Although if I remember correctly, she slept even better once she could roam around at will...bonus!!
Congratulations...and btw, the pics of Hammer camping are also just darling =)

Posted by: SandyC | June 26, 2007 at 08:02 AM
OK, should of looked at the pics before I commented. Of course you took her on the slide...the look of near panic on Charlie's face is priceless.
