Most. Narcissistic. Post. Ever.
So, the hair. I wasn't sure when I left the salon. It was a tad... Joan Jett for me, and there really wasn't any pink. My hairdresser gave me "mauve" highlights to go with my brand new bright red hair color--which looks great--and I'd been thinking hot pink. But we figured we can do the hot pink when I get it touched up closer to my birthday.
But, without too much more ado, here are the before and afters. There are two afters: when I left the salon, wearing four pounds of product, and after I showered at home (after the gym, when I was sweaty, had hair dye dripping down my face, and had prickly hairs everywhere--I had to shower). I like it a lot after the shower, much softer and less Joan Jett. But I'm gonna try blowing it out next time I wash it and see how it looks. So, here they are. Before:
After at the salon:
After at home:
So?

It looks great, and I like the after shower the best. But I think that's partly because the after salon/pre shower is such a huge change.

Oh me like! I see what you mean about the Joan Jett look but I do like it, love the just left the gym and showered look. Great color and I love how the new cut frames your face, very flattering.

OOOOOHHHH YEAH BABY! I LOVE IT! I always thought I liked your hair before but seeing the after, your old cut did nothing for you!
I think that the straightening will be a great way to 'dress it up' if you are going out. I love it au naturel as well. Good for you girl!

I actually like the salon look! I like the home look too! Very nice! The cut slims your face and puts color in your face. How exciting and fun!

Super cute! I need to do something like this....

Cecily, you are a doll! Seriously, smokin' hot!
I want red hair now!

Oh, I like!
The salon shot sucks frankly, but the 'after' at home shot is just beautiful.

Awesome. I think it looks great both ways.

The new hair is super cute, especially the after shower photo. It's fresh and young, but not in a way that screams "trying to hard".

Love it. Hope Tori recognizes you!

Beautiful!

I love it!! The cut and the color both look fantastic! This makes me want to do something different with my hair.
Why is it they can never fix it right at the salon? My hairdresser curls it with the curling iron until it smokes!!!! and then it looks like a Prince Valiant do when she gets done. :-)

Very cute!! I kinda like the Joan Jett version too... Probably because it's so different from what I've always known your hair to look like. But the after shower version looks great as well! It's nice to have options with a hairstyle, so you don't get stuck in a rut. I have fun going from one extreme to the other, using Kayleigh's straightening iron one day and curling iron the next! My coworkers must think my hair suffers from multiple personality disorder!
(Oh and definitely get the hot pink, I can't imagine anyone who would wear it better than you, Cec!)

Very pretty!

Wow. I read before I looked and I was thinking "uh, pink, mauve?" But then I looked and was shocked at how attractive it is. I would say it is "you" You go hot momma!

Good heavens, woman, you're gorgeous!
(I wish I could talk myself into doing something groovy like that. I'm so stinkin' cheap and lazy I just can't see myself maintaining a new hair color. I'd end up looking even skankier than I do now.)

I LOVE it!!!

That looks terrific on you! And no lie, you look 10 years younger - as a complete stranger, I would have NO IDEA you're on the verge of the big 4-o. Good for you for having the guts to go for the big chop'n'dye!

super-hot! I definitely like the second "after" the best.

The bangs are fab-u-lous! Inspiring as I have a similarly shaped face and was thinking of bringing the bang back.

You look beautiful, and I don't think the salon shot sucks at all. Sleek & sexy. The after-shower shot with some curls is pretty too - softer and more relaxed. Options - yay options! You're hot Cec - you were then, and you are now!

I know you have lots of "thumbs-up" comments, but I just had to add one more.
WOW! Haircut=eyes, smile, cheekbones
We can see more of you, displayed to full advantage with that wonderful cut and color.
