On A Much Lighter Note: The New Hairdos

I finally have pictures of Tori's splendid new hairdo, thanks to my awesome friend Danielle:

Torihair

Sorry for crappy photo quality. I've had a bad photo week.

And, once again thanks to the wildly amazing gifts of my friend Danielle I present Cecily's pink hair do-over, 25 years later:

Pink

Children openly stare, teenagers are green with envy, and adults carefully look past me. It's hilarious. By the way, she dyed my eyebrows too which is why they look twice as big and I look kind of pissed off (and why I had to don sunglasses for this photo--much plucking must happen).

I must say, it has cheered me immensely. Nearly 40 is the PERFECT time for pink hair, because it's just for fun and not for rebellion. It rocks.

Absolutely gorgeous girls!

Love Tori's hair its adorable :-) Ummm I am 40... can't picture me in pink hair but I did do my sisters pink a couple years ago... it was so funny heading out and watching people look or avoid looking at her ! LOL.

Tori's: Awwwwwwww....
Yours: (I would be one of the ones staring, because I would be thinking "Hmmm, I wonder if I would be able to get away with pink hair). It rocks!

And HOW CUTE would it be if Tori had matching (temporary, of course) pink streaks? You would totally rock Story Time with a mother-daughter presence like that.

Awww, Tori is adorable. Makes me wish I could be two again, for just a little while :)

Your hair...love it! Can I ask a favor? This is gonna sound stupid, but I'm just dying to see--you know those doolollies that push your hair back from the front, with the teeth in them? What does that look like pushed up or back, when it's all mixed in and blended together? Seriously, I know I'm a dork, but you're getting me thinking, lol--I may want some blue :) But mine is all one length, no bangs, and I have a habit of pulling it back in a ponytail, up into one on each side, or pushing it back with those doolollies (whatever they're called).

Do you ever do that? Put those cutsie little ponytails on each side of your head? LOL, that would be SOOO cute!!! Especially with that pink. And, again, I know...I'm such a dork...

What does Tori think of the pink? It is pretty awesome. Begs to be touched.

I'm green with envy at 41. I don't think my corporate law firm would appreciate pink hair. We get excited when we can wear jeans on Friday. I did have a bright pink cast on my foot for awhile. The was pretty wild.

Tori is so cute - she gets more 'humanlike' everyday. Sorry she's already a terrible two, but you and Charlie will make it through that stage just like the day 1 - 3 month phase when you wished you could get a little more sleep and figure out "Why is she crying now?"

WOOT!!!!

It looks fucking awesome!!!!!! :-)

So glad she fixed it for you.

I love, love, love it! What does Charlie think?

Wow - two GORGEOUS girls there. Sweet!

Fucking awesome.

PS: I liked Chikezie too. :-(

I'm totally jealous of both hairstyles. I have a phobia of hairdressers, keep thinking they'll look down on me for the purple hair dye that has now grown in!

I'm just waiting to start on my maternity leave (in August) so I can do the same with my hair. :-)

That hair rocks! I did a pink strip in the back underneath last year and loved it.

Love the hair, for both. Hair is so fun because it grows out, or back. In the case of my sweet upstanding son, a Mohawk over the summer. The looks were absolutely priceless!

For me, it starts an automatic B52's soundtrack in my head. Rock on!

You both look so cute!

I wish I could get away with that. ;)

You two look great!

Okay... I want to do pink hair to make people stare. Heh. I too am almost 40. :-)

How fun. I've always secretly wanted neon green hair.

OMG! Tori needs the pink to match!!! That would be tooo cute!

I love it! If only it weren't for that pesky school board policy....sigh...

Man Cecily. I am so damned jealous of your hair!!!! It looks fabulous!!!!! And Tori's cut is awesome as well. I would walk up to you on the street and hug you if I saw you IRL. You rock!

You both have super cute hair!! My hair was that colour pink when I was 16...I loved it!!

Oh, man, now you're REALLY gonna go over like a fart in church at library storytime!

(looks awesome!)

You both have way cool hair. I love the pink and am glad it made you happier. Too cute!!!

Pink hair - (now) on my list of things to do next year. Very cool I love it.
